The project combines social and nature sciences, focused on the use of sandstone landscape of the Bohemian Switzerland NP and the Elbe SandstonePLA.It aims at a complex research into mining history of the region, employing a review of existing sources, study of maps and archival records, a detailed field investigation, and an inventory and documentation of sites of interest from geological and historical-geographical points of view using modern technologies and methods.The obtained results will be presented online through a specialized maps with a professional content covering topographic, geological, historical and visual characteristics of sites with documented mining.The results will be also presented to the general public in the form of a modern popular science exhibition.
